Learn Indonesian Online
offers you a one-to-one general Indonesian language course which reflects your
personal needs, whether you are an absolute beginner learning Indonesian from
scratch or you are a fluent speaker and simply want to refresh your knowledge
of Indonesian. A qualified native Indonesian teacher will help you develop your
comprehension of the language, extend your vocabulary and enhance your
understanding of grammatical structures. Through pronunciation exercises,
dictations, reading, listening and comprehension tests, writing of short
compositions, followed by consolidation exercises you will reach the target of
improving fluency and confidence while speaking Indonesian.
Please note that this
lesson is based on a textbook but it also focuses on practicing all of the
language skills, especially speaking and listening.
Beginner Indonesian uses
different types of methods in order for the beginner student to learn
Indonesian in the best and fastest way. Intermediate course: help students who
have knowledge of Indonesian but need to improve their skills to become
advanced speakers.
We work together with
one of the textbooks that I have in my disposition. You’ll get the Course books
in digital format - including audio files. We can also work with
the materials you have.
In this class, we can

Writing Correction are designed to help you improve your written
Indonesian skills. The focus can be on essay writing, presentation writing,
email writing, or general Indonesian writing. The classes focus on your needs
and weaknesses to help improve your overall writing, increase your vocabulary,
help you with word order, and more.
Reading skills and
translate. Students will be
encouraged to read aloud some articles/children story / news, etc., wherein your
pronunciation will be checked and vocabularies will be challenged. Some lessons
will also focus on learning new words, phrasal verbs and idioms. We may use
some sections from some fantastic and highly recommended textbooks, but the
majority of materials are created by me.

During the classes, we
will work on grammar, vocabulary, and self-confidence in speaking
Indonesian. Besides, I am writing down the essential vocabulary that was
unclear during the class. This way, the participants can practice and use it
later on. A detailed transcript of all corrections given in the lesson
(found in your Skype / Zoom chat box) / Google Docs for real time corrections. It
is roughly student talk-time 80%, teacher 20%.
During the sessions,
everybody will be able to participate, ask questions, and naturally use the
Indonesian language. Also, importantly... You talk, I correct. Skype Indonesian
teacher is well drilled to correct you at all times. Unlike other Skype
Indonesian schools, I pride myself on this fact, so you will improve rapidly. I
encourage you to talk as much as possible.
This is by far the best way to improve your real spoken Indonesian
and listening abilities and get to a level where you can use it in real life

I offer lessons for all
levels.
The meaning of each
level is defined by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). It
defines six levels of foreign language proficiency: A1 and A2, B1 and B2, C1
and C2.

Level of the Courses
A1 Indonesian
language courses are for beginners. In the A1 course, there are many grammar
lessons. Although usually, I modulate the grammar content for people who don’t
like the grammar approach.
So don’t be afraid if you don’t like grammar, there is a solution.
From A2 to B1, we will switch
gradually from abstract grammar concepts to always more complex Indonesian words
and phrases. We work on the comprehension of the language, not forgetting the
pronunciation, that is a very important, and often neglected, component of
learning languages.
B2 is a consolidation
course before you fly to higher levels. It is considered somewhat the turning
point in learning the new language. If you pass the B2 you have done it.
The C1 level is very much focused on expanding
the vocabulary, to improve your conversational skills.
C2 is the highest
level, you have learned the language in all its aspects and can challenge a
native speaker. You can now move to the next challenge, Indonesian dialects for
example.
Said among us, Indonesian course level C1 or C2 are the most
relaxing, it is mostly about speaking Indonesian to acquire fluency and a wider
Indonesian vocabulary.

Duration of the lesson
You can choose the duration of the
lesson, between 30 minutes, 45 minutes,
60 minutes, 75 minutes and 90 minutes.

Students pay for bookings for online
Indonesian classes in advance. Full payment is required at
least 12 hours in advance.
Lessons for your child (minimum 10 years old):
During the lesson, an adult
must stay in the same room to supervise and assist him/her with the technology
if needed. The supervision of an adult is compulsory throughout
the lesson.
You will need a
computer connected to the internet, with microphone and speakers (or a headset). It
is preferable to have a webcam. Cameras can be used in lessons. It's up to you. 50% of my students
like to have their cameras on, 50% don't. Indonesian Skype Lesson allows for
flexibility.
How long is a
private lesson package valid for?
You can used your
5 lessons package within 3 months after the initial purchase.
You can used
your 10 lessons package within 6 months after the initial
purchase.
After that, the remaining lessons will be canceled and no money will be
refunded and a new package must be purchased.

(1) Cancellation of online lessons
To cancel your lesson, please contact me
and wait for my reply to confirm the cancellation. However, please note that
you may cancel/reschedule not later than 4 hours before the scheduled start of
the lesson. If you follow this recommendation, then the cancelled lesson will
be rescheduled later in the month. However, if you do not turn up for the
lesson or formally cancel the lesson a few hours before the scheduled start,
then, you will lose that lesson from your package.
(2) Lateness for online lessons
Please be on time for your online
lessons. I will wait a maximum of 15 minutes for you to come to your class. If
you haven't arrived in 15 minutes without notice, I will stop waiting and go
offline on Skype / Zoom. As a result, you will lose this lesson from your
package - sorry.
I will be flexible if there is a
technical problem with notice / if you are late but
please note that I will often have a class directly after your class will have
to finish on time anyway.
N.B. Please note that this rule applies
even if you have a technical problem with your connection or your computer.
(3) Teacher cancellations
Although I will try to be available to
teach all online lessons 100% of the time, there may be times when my personal
circumstances mean that I have to cancel a lesson myself at short notice, i.e.
on the same day of the lesson. However, in this eventuality your lesson will be
rescheduled at a time later in the month.
(4) Sharing online lessons with other people
Please note that this in a one-to-one
service.
